Use this teacher feedback form as a checklist to see what you should be aiming to achieve through your marking. Remember, the most important things to think about when marking are:
- What impact is my feedback having on the students’ learning?
- Are my comments ensuring students can ‘close the gap’ between current attainment and outstanding progress?
- Is my feedback frequent enough so the students are getting regular input, thus ensuring that they are not being allowed to continue making similar errors without any guidance?
- Am I celebrating and acknowledging when students make gains in their learning?
